KungFu Writing is a Finnish innovation firm established in 2011 for development of blended learning tools and technologies. KFW co-founder, Juhana Nieminen, is an e-learning specialist and evangelist who has been working on blended learning projects since 2001. Juhana found that while substance seems to separate fields of science from each other they can be brought together with e-learning solutions. Moving from Natural sciences (Helsinki University Dept. of Forest Resources) to Languages (Aalto-university Language Centre) enabled him to explore the "larger picture" and overview of the tools needed to make the life of teacher's lives a bit easier. With colleagues from the Language Centre an idea was put forth to make the most flexible, easy to use and scalable feedback tool to date. Since none of the commercially-available feedback tools were adequate, a schematic for such a tool was built and financed outside the academic restraints.
